Such a laconic piece of landscape design can decorate any garden. It is not difficult to create such an exotic plot on your own site on your own.

A Japanese garden can be of two types: stone or moss. If such decorative stone compositions have long been used by gardeners to decorate their backyard plots, then the moss option is more exotic.

This is another reason to decorate your garden with this composition.

A moss garden is an unusual solution in landscape design, which is perfect for decorating shady and damp corners.

Where decorative flowers do not take root, the moss will feel great.

Creating such an unusual corner on your site will not ruin the family budget..

The main material for its creation can be brought from the nearest forest.

When digging, you need to be careful, because its root system is located on the soil surface. You can find moss not only in the forest, but also at your own dacha.

He loves to hide on the shady northern sides of concrete structures. In any case, it must be periodically removed from the brickwork of the building. Why not use this most unpretentious variety to decorate your own plot?

Step-by-step instruction

To begin with, we prepare materials for creation:

  • Scoop, shovel, watering can, rope, pegs.
  • Several different varieties of moss.
  • Geotextile.
  • Decorative stones.
  • Gravel and pebbles.
  • Japanese lantern.
  • Peat or other types of acidic soil.
  • Ornamental plants: fern, rogers, hosts, junipers, daylilies.

Procedure:

  1. First of all, it is worth destroying all the weeds in the chosen place. Install some decorative stones that act as a vertical.
  2. Create a vertical accent by placing conifers at a distance of 1/3 of the border of the composition.
  3. Place a flashlight next to the conifers. It can be purchased ready-made or made on your own using small pieces of sandstone.
  4. Determine, with the rope and pegs, the parts to be covered with stones and pebbles. Moss looks especially impressive against the background of rocky areas.
  5. Pieces of geotextile need to be cut in accordance with the dimensions of the marked places. Place geotextiles at the site of the future stone islands.
  6. Further, we fill the pieces of geotextile with light crushed stone or pebbles. Light pebbles placed on shady parts will look especially impressive.
  7. Place light stones on the coniferous trunk circles.
  8. Fill the remaining free areas with peat or other acidic soil. The decomposed soil must be wetted with water and moss placed on it.
  9. If it was dug up with a whole lump, then you need to make a hole in the ground, about 3 cm deep and plant it there.
  10. Everything needs to be watered abundantly after manufacturing.

The Japanese garden will become a real highlight of your garden or summer cottage. Its spectacular appearance cannot fail to evoke the admiring exclamations of your neighbors.
