Tomato Red Arrow is a semi-determinant early maturing hybrid (up to 105 days) that can grow in open ground and greenhouses. Depending on the cultivation technology, the bush can grow up to 1 or up to 1.5 meters. Read about indeterminate varieties here.

The plant has a high degree of resistance to major diseases. Does not form a stem. Fruits are round-elongated, covered with a thin strong skin, with a small spot at the base, which disappears when ripe. Color - red outside and inside, without pronounced light fibers.

The seed chambers are small, narrow, and semi-dry. They contain a small amount of small seeds. The average weight of one tomato is 70 g, rarely - up to 130 g. Transportability is average, stored in the refrigerator for no more than 5 weeks.

Advantages and disadvantages

Advantages: evenness of fruits and harmonious yield of the crop, versatility of use and high resistance to diseases. No disadvantages.

Growing features

Red Arrow tomatoes tolerate shading well, so they are used to compact plantings of tall tomatoes. With sharp drops in humidity, cracking of the fruit does not occur. It is recommended to grow a hybrid through seedlings 55-60 days before planting in the ground or greenhouses. The recommended planting pattern is 50/40 cm (up to 6 bushes per square meter).

The plant does not need pinching or growth restriction. After the formation of 9-12 brushes, it is recommended to feed with microelements. Weekly fertilization (organic) and regular watering improve the quality of the fruit.

  • Organic, mineral, ready-made complexes, TOP of the best.
  • Yeast, iodine, ash, hydrogen peroxide, ammonia, boric acid.
  • Foliar, for seedlings, when picking.

When caring for tomatoes, do not forget about the watering regime, tying and mulching. These simple agronomic techniques can help you get a good harvest outdoors or in a greenhouse.

Diseases and pests

The hybrid is practically not affected by tomato diseases and control measures are rarely needed. To completely protect the tomato plantation from infections, it is recommended to regularly ventilate the plantings. You can also treat them with medicinal products twice a season.

As for pests, insecticides will perfectly protect from the Colorado potato beetle, spider mites, aphids and thrips.

The Red Arrow tomato is a relatively new hybrid that is rapidly gaining popularity among ordinary summer residents.
Amicable fruiting and a huge number of fruits on the bushes (up to 75 on each!) Make it a very valuable crop at their summer cottage.
