All lovers of large-fruited, high-yielding varieties should pay attention to the "Kumir". This is a very interesting type of tomato that can bear fruit until late autumn, when other tomatoes are no longer yielding.

This is a fairly old, proven tomato type. It was bred by domestic specialists, received state registration as a variety recommended for cultivation in greenhouse shelters and in open ground in 1997.

This is a determinant standard grade. The plant is very tall, it can reach 180-200 cm. The idol is recommended for growing both in greenhouse conditions and in unprotected soil.

Refers to medium early types of tomatoes, that is, from the moment the seedlings are planted to the ripening of the fruits, it takes 100-110 days. Has good resistance to fungal diseases.

With good care, up to 4.5-6 kg can be collected from one bush. With a recommended planting density of 3 bushes per sq. m is obtained from 14 to 18 kg, depending on external conditions. This is a very good result.

Tomatoes of the "Kumir" variety have a harmonious taste and are very good fresh. For conservation they are used very rarely, only the smallest fruits are those that are larger used in barrel salting. Thanks to their taste and low dry matter, these tomatoes produce a very good juice.

Growing features

The bush is formed into two or three stems, but most often three. Due to the high growth and weakness of the branches, the bushes of this type of tomato need to be tied up and props.

Most often, this type of tomato is exposed to late blight, especially in the open field. To combat this disease at the first stage, the drug "Barrier" is used. If the disease is started, then you should use the means "Zaslon".

From harmful insects "Kumir" is susceptible to the attack of the Colorado potato beetle, especially in the southern regions. The drug "Prestige" is used against this terrible pest.
