Growing and care
Seeds for seedlings are planted in March, the germination rate of seeds is 93-95%. After the appearance of 2 leaves, the plant dives. Tomatoes are planted in heated greenhouses in early April, and in open ground not earlier than May, 3-4 plants per square meter. Legumes and cabbage are good precursors for tomatoes, as well as cucumbers, onions, and carrots.
Powerful plants with dark green foliage reach a height of 1.5 to 2 meters, do not belong to standard ones, therefore they require pinching and garters to vertical or horizontal trellises.
It is recommended to grow them in one or two stems, if desired, forming a second stem from the stepson under the first brush... The rest of the stepsons are removed. It is advisable to water the plant with warm water, fertilize 2-3 times for the entire period with complex mineral fertilizers intended for tomatoes.
- Organic, mineral, phosphorus, complex and ready-made fertilizers, for seedlings and TOP of the best.
- Yeast, iodine, ammonia, hydrogen peroxide, ash, boric acid.
- What is foliar dressing and when picking, how to carry it out.

Diseases and pests
Bred specifically for the harsh Siberian conditions, the Japanese crab is not picky enough and is resistant to apical and root rot, tobacco mosaic.
However, low night temperatures and prolonged inclement weather can cause late blight, and too high air humidity at high temperatures - cladosporia. At the first signs of disease, you need to treat the plants with special means every three days. (ash, trichopolum or phytosporin in the first case and copper-containing preparations in the second).
In the southern regions, the plant's resistance to unfavorable conditions is clearly excessive, therefore the variety is still recommended for regions with a sharply continental climate. Despite the relative youth of the variety - it has been cultivated for only ten years - "Japanese crab" has already been appreciated by gardeners and tomato lovers. We hope it will take root in your garden too!
