Create vivid and colorful compositions with artificial flowers

The fake flowers, evidently, compared to the real ones have the advantage of costing less, requiring very little maintenance and lasting much longer over time. A bouquet with fake flowers makes it possible to embellish any room in the house, from the bedroom to the bathroom, from the dining room to the kitchen, and naturally does not need watering, anti-parasitic etcetera. Available on the market are numerous varieties of fake flowers, depending on tastes and economic availability: to them, on the other hand, you can add objects such as shells, small stones, candles, colored salt and sand. So let's see how to make a composition with fake flowers. Let's fill a wicker basket with clay, and then use a bare branch (just a branch taken in the garden or on the street) to simulate a tree trunk (for this reason, the more straight it will be, the more realistic it becomes). On the tops of the branch must be placed a sphere of synthetic sponge, on which will be placed the fake flowers that we have previously purchased: rosebuds, simple daisy, tufts of hydrangea, maybe even some pine cones. In the event that it proves necessary, it is possible to glue it all together with vinyl glue.

Another very original composition is the glass one, for which you can use fake flowers or dried helichrysum; inside a glass bowl (similar to those used to contain goldfish) it is necessary to place the fake flowers and the branches of graminacce, possibly decorating the whole with pebbles or colored stones. But the ideas available, as it is easy to imagine, are practically endless. The important thing is to choose in advance the style you want to adopt, and which elements will form the composition. It will always be useful to keep a metal net, a pair of scissors or shears, some wire, a pliers, a synthetic sponge, colored threads, glue, adhesive tape and tapes on hand: in short, the basic equipment that will allow you to let your imagination run wild. Creativity will have to be the master, creating ever-changing compositions: centerpieces, wreaths, bowls, planters, simple decorative vases. The style can be ethnic, exotic, romantic, classic, modern, minimalist, or even combined. Furthermore, there is no prohibition against resorting to fake fruit, berries, branches and ears of corn. In the event that, however, you wish to use branches, it is advisable to clean them beforehand and possibly spread them with transparent varnish.

The composition must be, in any case, balanced and proportionate: lively but not confused, characterized by a visual rhythm in such a way as to capture the attention of anyone who looks at it, from whichever way you look at it. Maximum attention, therefore, must be paid to the search for harmony, both among the various artificial flowers placed side by side, and with respect to the placement of the vase in the surrounding context. In short, a rustic floral composition will definitely put you off in an ultra-modern home, just as in a house with nineteenth-century furniture, an exotic-flavored bouquet could be a little out of place. Also the chromatic component must be evaluated in a particular way, avoiding excessively gaudy tones and, on the other hand, too flat and musty colors. As for the container, in addition to the classic vase, strictly in glass or crystal, you can indulge in the imagination by choosing trays, ceramic containers, earthenware bowls, wicker baskets, plates and so on. Obviously, the composition will have to adapt to the choice of the container, in the sense that a narrow and elongated glass vase will require flowers with long stems, while terrines or dishes will need flowers practically without stems.

A nice idea could be to take advantage of the floral composition to make a gift: in this case, in fact, you could insert a small jewel among the flowers, in order to create a decidedly amazing surprise effect. As mentioned above, these flowers require minimal maintenance compared to fresh flowers: no fertilizer or water, no insecticides or fungicides. This does not mean that they too will have to be treated, and in particular clean to avoid very anti-aesthetic dust deposits: to remove dust without ruining the petals, you can simply use a hair dryer, operating it with cold air at a safe distance from the composition. Finally, it is worth mentioning, in conclusion, the possibility of enlivening or intensifying the colors and chromatic tones of the different compositions by decorating the petals by hand, with paints, water colors, tempera, sprays, glitter, perhaps in correspondence with some special holiday (creating, for example, a snow effect with the arrival of Christmas).
