General introduction

Designing a garden requires expertise and precision. Once the area and the elements to be inserted are planned, attention must be paid to the choice of construction materials. The range is vast and every solution has many possibilities for use. There is no precise rule for obtaining the best results; all you have to do is focus on good quality and perform proper maintenance. For example, you will have to protect iron railings and partitions from the rust that causes rust and cement from the corrosive action of the rain, preventing the problem with special products that can be purchased in gardening or DIY centers. Regarding the choice of materials, effective options are represented by natural stone, especially if the garden has a Zen style, with practical and versatile concrete, wood and marble. For the paving of paths and paths instead of granite slabs, hard stones, sand and gravel will be preferred. Grids of metal or perforated wood, stable and resistant, may instead represent solutions for columns, walls, flowerbeds and pylons where herbs and shrubs can be climbed. Wrought iron and wire meshes are ideal for making fences and partitions of all kinds. Finally, if there are furniture such as chairs and tables in the green area, the most suitable materials are natural wood, straw, woven wicker and carved stone; plastic, on the other hand, is not recommended because even if it is economical, it does not guarantee a long-lasting effect, as well as not offering a noteworthy aesthetic effect.

Flowerbed material

The flowerbeds, both on the ground and in relief, are able to offer numerous advantages, such as to improve soil drainage and offer a pleasantly decorative corner. The best material to make them depends on your needs: for example, you can choose wood in its varieties. Among the options we find the sequoia, quite expensive but very resistant to bad weather, cedar, cherry and ash. Another material suitable for the creation of flower beds is represented by concrete blocks, especially to delimit areas raised from the ground. These are quite easy to use and last a long time. An aesthetic shrewdness consists in replacing the mortar to hold the layers together by a landscape adhesive block, to be applied with a caulking gun, to ensure a better aesthetic effect and a more solid stability. If the garden is modern, you can consider replacing traditional materials with more innovative ones, such as water-repellent plastic, plexigas or perforated plaster decorations.

Teak and Batyline

The Teak is used above all for the realization of the floors of verandas and covered areas of the garden or for furniture of external furnishing. Its merits are its great strength, versatility and the fact that it is not subject to degradation by bacteria and fungi. It fits very well in any style of green area, both modern and design. In nature the coloring is quite clear, but if desired, it can be darkened with specific aging products. The Batyline fabric goes very well with Teak, especially for the covering of pagodas or shade-making structures, such as gazebos, both fixed and mobile, thanks to the fact that it can repel sunlight even at very high temperatures . Moreover, it is very resistant and does not deform easily, making it less likely to develop tears or lyses.

Iron and stainless steel

Iron is used to a great extent for garden furniture, but also for fences and rigid dividing nets. It does not need particular maintenance and resists any type of temperature, keeping itself intact. If you have a swimming pool set up in the garden, the iron accessories are the best choice, since it does not undergo any change in contact with chlorine. As for synthetic fibers. Stainless steel, on the other hand, is very useful for all the supporting structures of furnishing accessories, such as table frames, chairs and deckchairs. It matches perfectly in modern gardens and with straight shapes and can be integrated with woven fibers for the realization of small outdoor lounges and from glass and wood for tables. Its maintenance does not require particular care, because the material does not rust and does not oxidize.

Garden material: the roll lawn

A type of material used for those who do not have much time to devote to the maintenance of their garden is represented by the roll lawn. Even if the grass is synthetic, it still guarantees a natural effect and ensures an impeccable result, given that the green mantle will always be perfectly homogeneous, will grow uniformly and in any season of the year and will remain bright, level and tidy. Consider also the fact that it does not cost too much and is easy to install, even without the help of professional staff. It can however be integrated with additional additional decorative materials, such as small boulders designed to create pleasant islands, colorful flowerbeds, fountains, artificial ponds and any elements used in the shade of any size and style. The roll lawn fits easily into any type of garden, from the most traditional to the design one.
