Synthetic grass for gardens

Even in Italy a growing number of people are beginning to consider the possibility of opting for artificial turf as an intelligent and elegant alternative to their private garden.

Polypropylene is used to make synthetic grass lawns, which is sewn onto a liquid PVC frame. The lawn is quite soft, perfect for a football or soccer field, but also for the gardens of private homes that must be well walkable, especially due to the presence of children. This type of grass is purchased in rolls that vary their type depending on the length of the stems in polypropylene yarn, which can range from 9 to 35 mm depending on the needs or preferences of the customer. It should be emphasized that these materials are environmentally friendly and hypoallergenic, a fact that should not be underestimated, since the subjects with allergic pathologies appear to be in strong growth (especially for hay allergies). They also have excellent resistance to the action of atmospheric agents such as heavy rain and strong winds. As already noted, from an aesthetic point of view the artificial grass is completely similar to the classic fields of grass known as English, that is of a bright green color, cut with extreme care and perfectly clean.Artificial grass significantly reduces the presence of insects. This avoids the use of insecticides and pesticides, which have negative consequences for human health, polluting the garden itself.Among the disadvantages we must instead point out the problem of discoloration, after a certain period of time, which is a consequence of the action of UV rays. It is therefore essential, at the time of purchase, to verify that the artificial lawn is also guaranteed for what concerns its possible discoloration. How to install "fake" grass in private gardens

In a garden the laying of the artificial grass mantle is easier than in the fields intended for sports use (which must be more resistant due to the frequent falls of the athletes). The rolls of grass purchased have the lower part of the latex frame, with small holes that are used to guarantee water drainage.
The surface on which they are placed must however be well leveled and cleaned of any small stone debris, otherwise the adhesion would be uneven and therefore the artificial mantle would tend to detach from its seat.

Rules for maintenance

The "fake" grass is not dried by the excessive heat of the sun in the summer months and does not rot due to the slow but inexorable action of humidity. Compared to natural grass, maintenance activities are therefore reduced to a minimum, namely brushing, which is used to periodically remove fragments of leaves, insects or small objects carried by the wind.
It is important to remember that to avoid the formation of weeds under the frame it is advisable, at the time of installation, to place a Tnt surface on the ground on which to rest the frame itself. The TNT floor is easily available on the market at reasonable prices, in any Brico center.
The rolls of "fake" grass can be lifted off the ground and brushed as you would with a common carpet.
Another fact to underline before proceeding with the purchase of an artificial grass frame is that these lawns have a ten-year guarantee.
