Garden beds
The flower beds are very important, not only for the visual effect of the green, but also because they can define the spaces that surround the perimeter of the garden. They can introduce notes of color and volume, without neglecting their role for the enrichment of flowers and trees. Before thinking about putting flowers in the garden, it is necessary to design a plan of what are the areas for your relaxation, the background and the beauty. Depending on the destination of the various parts of the garden, you have to choose by taking a look around the materials used to create the edges of roads and flower beds. If you want to create separate areas, clearly defined, it is advisable to use red terracotta bricks for low edges or small wooden fences, stone walls for fences or walls raised with flower beds.
The garden during the summer, allows you to spend a lot of time outdoors, as an alternative to that spent in the living room or in the dining room. The border, in this case, serves to delimit the outdoor space in which you want to place the living area, the dining area, creating walkways that allow you to avoid the trampling of the flower beds made. To give a sense of continuity to the colors and style of the house it is important that the construction materials to be used are similar to those of the shape of the house. The space suitable for this task must be bounded with a low border, so that most of the floral mass is clearly visible, but at the same time is clearly protected. The paths are the basic means of communication and decoration for a garden, the curved paths lend themselves more to an informal garden, while a straight line is more oriented towards traditional and classic types.
GARDEN TOOLS: SPACES AND COLORS
For gardening, flower beds and borders are essential to create color, movement, geometry and elegance. In small gardens, the main reason is therefore the decorative effects. To get a good result it is not particularly necessary to have the so-called green thumb: the creation and maintenance of flower beds and borders can be very simple but also very complex depending on how you want to set them and, therefore, you must choose the form, the flowers, plants and suitable compositions. The use of color is important to create pleasant, natural and harmonious effects. Tone-on-tone colors, for example, like those ranging from white to blue, pink and purple or other combined colors, create effects rich in harmony, strong contrasts, and convey energy and vitality. The warm tones of the various ranges of light colors such as yellow, orange and red create a sensation of brightness similar to that of a Mediterranean garden exposed to full sun. The setting up of a flower bed is ideal for cultivating flowers with yellow or orange pigmentation towards autumn, so as to extend the color effect in the summer season. Maintenance and cultivation depends on the species of plants and flowers and above all on their classification; in fact, to avoid mistakes it is important to include in each single section of the flowerbed plants belonging to the same species or in any case of the same category as the annual, biennial or perennial plants. In any case, it is essential to insert the appropriate soil into the fenced areas, use good fertilizers, weed the soil from time to time and ensure regular watering or programmed irrigations with automated systems that significantly reduce work times and keep the plants healthy and beautiful for long time.
GARDEN TOOLS: SUITABLE FLOWERS
Among the most popular flowers for the flower beds there are undoubtedly the tulips followed closely by petunias, roses and jasmine but, nevertheless, everything that produces flowers can be planted in a flowerbed without problem as long as they are plants that bear good outdoor temperatures such as geraniums are. It is therefore advisable to plant only those indicated for the outdoor garden. Another tip is to not overdo the colors! better indeed a simple but nice color, rather than a harlequin effect. In addition, special geometric shapes are to be avoided because the flowerbed looks better when it has a rounded shape, with the exception of a couple of well-tended patches of land, especially when the garden is large. Finally, we must not forget the importance of the edges that can provide a further touch of elegance to the flowerbed and consequently to the whole garden!
Flowerbeds garden: AIUOLE GIARDINO: THE BEST PLANTS
In a respectable flower bed, the so-called green leafy plants certainly cannot be missing, which, although they do not produce flowers, serve to give a detachment to the colors generated by the multicolored flowers and at the same time create a restful contrast even for the eyes. The recommended plants are climbing plants. A boundary wall near the flowerbed can in fact be used to climb the ivy. This plant is simple but with a refined and elegant taste and certainly cannot be lacking in a respectable garden. If, on the other hand, we are stubborn with color then remaining in the theme of garden creepers we can create a vertical wall by planting the bougainvillea, also the queen of the garden, or even the very valuable climbing roses with a great chromatic effect.
