Tuff blocks
Already at the beginning of the 50's the use of mechanical means began which allowed their extraction from the quarries, in a regular and perfect way. For years, the blocks have been used for the construction of walls and their wide use, it also arrives in the gardens and in the courtyards of small and medium-sized villas to build low walls or to outline pathways. The consistency of the blocks is appreciated in the building field because they are very light as they contain lapilli. They are much lighter than usual bricks and find satisfaction in almost all building works.
They are very porous so their laying on the ground is facilitated because they take root immediately in the cement mortar. They are permeable and even if they absorb a certain degree of humidity, they release it over time into the environment. Compared to common perforated bricks, they insulate better and are difficult to let heat pass through them. They are very crumbly but they manage to hold the compression well. THE tuff blocks they are extracted in different sizes according to the needs.
