SLIMMING TISANES

They are totally natural products, consisting of a balanced set of herbs with medicinal properties, which belong to the category of pesticides.
The dosage of these herbs is considerably concentrated in the extracts, while it is more diluted in preparations for herbal teas and decoctions, to avoid the appearance of side effects.
Herbal teas with slimming action have their effect through various methods:
- through mildly laxative activity
- by diuretic activity
- through depurative activity
The mildly laxative activity is carried out by particularly fiber-rich herbs which on the one hand induce a sense of satiety by decreasing the stimulus of hunger; on the other hand they stimulate intestinal motility by acting on peristalsis and favoring evacuation.
Through these actions, it is evident that the body weight tends to decrease both for a lower caloric intake and for a better evacuation function.
The diuretic activity is manifested by an enhancement of the draining effects by the lymphatic system (first) and the renal system (after): in this way the water retention and the possible formation of edema (swelling) in various districts is eliminated .
The consequence is a decrease in body weight.
The depurative activity consists in eliminating the toxins accumulated in the body and depends on the properties of the vegetables found in the herbal teas.
In this case there is no immediate weight loss, but the effects may be visible over time, after a few cycles of infusion administration.

MECHANISM OF ACTION

The process of weight loss dependent on the intake of slimming teas is due to an enhancement of lipid catabolism.
The adipose deposits accumulated in various districts of the body are burned by the action of the herbs that play a real "thermogenic effect" (production of heat due to the destruction of fats).
These herbs are pesticides with a catabolic action selective towards lipid metabolism.
At the same time there is also a decrease in the stimulus of hunger as the herbs are composed mainly of fibers that induce a noticeable sense of satiety.
Body weight loss does not cause any harmful consequences to the body since these herbs are rich in vitamins and mineral salts, which act as nutritional supplements.
To obtain a satisfactory result, it is advisable to use these products regularly, for extended periods of time (a few months), without interruptions, until an optimal weight is reached.
After a cycle it is useful to stop taking the product for a few weeks and then resume.

METHOD OF PREPARATION

An essential prerequisite for a correct preparation of slimming teas is the homogeneity of the components, which can be used by infusion or decoction.
First proceed with boiling the water, then add a teaspoon of the mixture and let it rest for 2 or 3 minutes.
Subsequently it is advisable to leave it to rest for another 10 minutes and then carefully filter and squeeze the product.
In fact it is essential that all parts of the plant are taken in the herbal tea.
It is advisable to drink the warm herbal tea, possibly without sweetening it, or adding a teaspoon of honey.
The recommended dose is two cups a day, between meals, for at least a month.
MAIN HERBS TO BE USED
There are some types of herbs particularly suitable for the preparation of slimming teas

Dandelion

It is an ubiquitous vegetable, widespread in flat and hilly meadows; it is also called "soffione"; the flower has a straw yellow color.
Its properties are mainly diuretic and purifying, especially at the liver level.
It is very rich in vitamins and mineral salts.
It also exerts a mild laxative action and acts by stimulating the gallbladder musculature (gall bladder) thus facilitating the emission of bile juice.
For this reason it has a beneficial digestive action.
Enhances the lipid catabolism, participating in burning the fat mass and thus carrying out a slimming action.
It is an indispensable component of diuretic and slimming teas.

Artichoke

It is a very diffused vegetable that is consumed abundantly for its excellent taste.
Its dry extract is one of the most used components in the preparation of herbal teas and decoctions.
It performs a tonic and stimulating action on the liver and detoxifies at the level of various organs.
Contains "cynarin" which acts by modulating bile secretion and regulating digestion.
It also contains a low dosage of "tannin" which acts as a regulator of intestinal function eliminating constipation.
In the composition of slimming teas it performs an activity on the digestive level, accelerating the transit of food and favoring evacuation.

Pilosella

It is a very common vegetable typical of lowland areas.
It carries out a diuretic action that causes the elimination of liquids and a decrease in body weight.
It is particularly useful in the treatment of cellulite which is often accompanied by the presence of fatty panniculus.
It also has a purifying action on the liver and facilitates the outflow of bile from the gallbladder, improving and accelerating the digestive processes.

Mauve

It is a ubiquitous vegetable in the flat and hilly areas.
It has a purple flower from which the active ingredients used in the preparation of draining and slimming teas are extracted.
Performs a mild laxative action as it produces a gel that, joining the faeces, increases its volume making them more easily eliminated.
It is always present in slimming teas as it increases evacuation.

Elder

It is a vegetable present above all in the hills and in the mountains.
Presents characteristic berries used, together with flowers, to extract the active ingredients.
It performs a laxative action as it increases the speed of intestinal transit.
It also has another important role because, being rich in vitamins of groups A, B and C, it is able to provide an effective nutritional support when it is taken during low-calorie dietary regimes.
It is also rich in minerals involved in metabolism, such as: Fe (iron), Mg (magnesium), Cu (copper), Zn (zinc), K (potassium) and Ca (calcium).

Other plants with draining action

Then there are other plants with mainly draining action that can be mixed with those listed above to obtain an even more complete metabolic effect.
They are:
* Asparagus
Extracts from the roots are used
*Birch
The active ingredients are found mainly in the leaves
*Cherry tree
The peduncles of the fruits are used, very rich in active substances
* Ash tree
Also in this case the leaves are used
* Gramigna
The active ingredients are extracted from the rhizomes
* Nettle
The roots are used

Slimming teas: Green Tea

A separate discussion deserves to be made for the Green Tea.
This vegetable is added to slimming and diuretic preparations as it has a very effective anti-oxidant and purifying action that improves metabolism.
At catabolic level it accelerates the destruction of accumulated fats, facilitating their elimination.
It also carries out a protective action at the level of the intestinal apparatus by accelerating the transit of digested food and shortening digestion times; this is why it is advisable to drink a cup of green tea at the end of each meal.
At the level of the renal apparatus it performs a beneficial action on diuresis, increasing the emission of liquids and strengthening the elimination of toxins.
It is therefore advisable to always use it in the preparation of slimming teas.
